The Octopus Small Vase is a decorative accessory handmade of stoneware by women artisans living at the border of Burma and Thailand.
The process they used to create it is challenging and time-consuming.
First the vase is thrown by one artisan; then another artist works by hand to apply the octopus to the profile of the cream vase before it is hand glazed and fired.
